Guidelines for Cannabis Consumption

Table of Contents

Guidelines on consumption, concentration, and dosage.

Consumption

Purchasing recreational cannabis is very similar to purchasing alcohol. If you are 21 years or older, you can legally purchase, possess and consume cannabis products in the state of Colorado. You will need to show your government-issued ID at time of purchase.

Because cannabis has not been legalized nationally, it is illegal to leave the state of Colorado with cannabis products. To learn more about Colorado’s cannabis regulation, please visit: www.colorado.gov/marijuana

Dosage

There are different guidelines regarding dosage for cannabis products depending on whether you’re planning to inhale cannabis flower or ingest cannabis-infused food products.

It’s important to note that the speed at which you feel the effects of cannabis will vary greatly depending on how you choose to enjoy cannabis.

Cannabis Flower

Commercial cannabis flower is available in a variety of THC ranges. We recommend inexperienced users start at the lower end of this range.

When smoking or vaping cannabis, we suggest you take a small puff, and wait approximately 10 minutes to gauge the effects and how you feel.

Edibles

The standard serving size for an edible is 10mg of THC. Believe it or not, it can take a few hours before you fully experience the effects of a product which is why we always recommend waiting a few hours after taking your first edible before choosing to ingest more.

It is important to remember that edibles will affect each user differently and the time it takes to feel those effects will vary per person. Factors such as how often you use marijuana and your body composition will play a role in how you metabolize the product.
